Steinbruch

The stone pit on the hill Mönchsberg is created due to digging for the limestone to produce cement. It is easy to reach from Jena's districts Göschwitz or Winzerla. Behind you will find the Cospoth, a hill even higher.

From the top you have a good view on the stone-maze. It was built many years ago by children of a Walddorf-school of Jena-Göschwitz. Some people see a Christian background in this maze: The way to the goal in the middle is long but it is safe and concrete.

Here are some suggested routes which passes through this point. You want to add your own route, contact us. It is very easy and we will register it with your own name.
