This hike is organized just one day before and unexpectedly many people joined for a short hike to Jenzig. The weather was so good.

We started in the morning from Jenzigweg and arrived around noon to Jenzig. On the way back we went back from the other side of the mountain. We got lost a bit at the end, but we managed to find our way and see the monument of Erlkönig at the end of our trip.

This hike to the highest point in Thuringia, at Grosser Beerberg is one of the most memorable and challenging hikes. Unusual in many ways, since we visited not just one destination but several over the course of 25 km walking while also seeing the beautiful landscape of Thuringer Wald through the long train journey to Suhl. Our leader Sevinç did a great job in navigation and also kept a cheerful company throughout.

The small city Suhl is not a popular place visited by many Jenaer students so it was nice to walk the streets of this small but beautiful place. Later we entered the forest with many huge conifer trees with fresh dew still dripping from the leaves and the mist made everything look magical. After 3 hours and several breaks, rerouting and funny moments of singing Hindi songs (courtesy Chetu) we reached the highest point at Grosser Beerberg. It was a wonderful experience overall and even though we came back to Jena at 2230, completely tired it felt rejuvenating for many days later.

We started our beautiful autumn hike in the morning from Beutenberg Campus and walked to Ernst-Haeckel-Stein. We enjoyed the beautiful view next to the valley and took many photos.

Afterwards we went to Bismarckturm and Forstturm. We were very lucky that Forstturm was open and we could climb up and see Jena from the top.

We ended the trip by walking from Lutherstraße to city center.

Some brave hikers had an adventurous tour through the forest from Rudolstadt to Bad Blankenburg where we visited the Castle with its tower.. It was foggy and exciting. During the tour we did not meet any other people.

The grey autumn had begun but we enjoyed this foggy hike. From the Kunitzburg we had a crazy view on the valley filled with fog, because we were higher than the fog. We also passed the tiny village Laasan and later Kunitz with the Hausbrücke which is a wooden bridge with a roof.

It was a short hike in Jena's mountain. We have started from Jena Göschwitz to the viewing point Mönchsberg and ended up at Winzerla. From Mönchsberg view is so beautiful that it looks like a Spaceship has landed on ground and left its sign behind.

The weather was not too warm but we were fortunate that we had seen sunset at Cospoth.

Since noone (except the organizer :D) wanted to join to the swimming pool, we cancel that part of the event.
