We started the hike from Goethe gallery at 1 PM taking a route alongside the Saalle river for some time. It was such a warm and sunny weather. After crossing Salle, a photo session and taking some moment to appreciate the natural beauty, we started walking towards Jenzig. We had a photo session in front of Saurierpfad which is kind of a starting point for Jenzig.

While walking till the top, you get to see some dinosaur models on the way. The weather became bit windy once we reached to the top. There is a nice viewpoint from where you can see the whole city. There is a restaurant where we had some snacks and drinks. Just around 50 meters from the restaurant, there is a small open area where you can play some games, do sunbathing, barbeque etc. As it was such a nice weather, we decided to sit there for some time and have drinks that we brought with us. We chit-chatted for an hour and then headed back to the city center using a different route. On this route, we spotted the Erlkönig statue alongside a small pond. Overall, we had a nice time on the hike and enjoyed it. It's a nice place to go and have picnic with a bunch of people. We ended our hike at the city center.

We organized our last hiking before the first lockdown in March. It was on the International Women's Day. Our hike was in the west of Jena from city center to Perückensträucher and from there to Napoleonstein and Landgrafen. The weather was not really good and windy, but the atmosphere of the group and the people made the day so special.
